Test, Link, Call (TLC) Project

What is it?

The Test, Link, Call (TLC) Project provides smart phones with 6 months of calling/texting credit to people living with hepatitis C infection, hepatitis B infection, HIV, or syphilis, who have experienced or are at risk of being criminalized. This includes people who use drugs, people experiencing unstable housing, or people who have been incarcerated.

Participants receive a care plan along with their cell phone, as well as optional connection to Peer and social supports. Phones provided are preloaded with the LifeGuard app and other health and social service focused mobile applications, to further assist in meeting unmet health needs.

Check out the manuscript preprint of the TLC Project here.

Read the impact evaluation report from the first 15 months of the TLC project here.

Want to be involved in the TLC Project?

Test Link Call is available to all care providers throughout British Columbia. Any providers in the community working with a client who they believe is eligible and would benefit from receiving a phone and peer support through Test Link Call, can make a referral!

Just have your client read and sign the TLC Consent Form then return this to the TLC Team via email to STBBI_pathways@bccdc.ca or by fax to 236-429-3744.
